Hss Circular Saw Blades

Circular slitter blades and HSS circular saw blades serve different cutting arrangements. Slitting disc cutters use the engagement of upper and lower blades for longitudinal separation of thin metal plates. HSS saw blades are designed for metal cutting, slotting, and related work with a specialized metal circular saw machine.

Where circular slitting discs fit

A slitting line processing thin stainless steel, aluminum, or copper plate can use circular slitting discs for longitudinal separation. The range includes HSS for thin sheet metal and powder metallurgy HSS for high-precision work such as aluminum foil and copper strip. Tungsten-carbide-based hard alloy is positioned for ultra-thin materials and high-hardness metals, while tougher grades such as Cr12MoV and 6CrW2Si suit thicker or higher-impact work.

The universal HSS option carries a cutting-speed figure of up to 50 m/min. For a buyer choosing circular slitter blades, the material being slit, its thickness, and the required edge finish should drive the blade material and grinding specification.

Where HSS circular saw blades fit

HSS circular saw blades suit a metal circular saw machine used for cutting or slotting. The range covers outer diameters from 8 to 500 mm, thicknesses from 0.1 to 23 mm, and inner holes of at least 2 mm. Common examples include 250×1.2×32 and 400×2.5×32.

Tooth pitch is matched to the workpiece. Dense teeth are intended for thin-walled pipes and thin cuts, while sparse teeth support chip removal in thick plates. HSS-DM05 is used for general metals such as carbon steel and aluminum. HSS-Co is intended for stainless steel and alloy steel, where the cobalt-containing alloy provides stronger wear resistance.

The saw blade carries a cutting-speed figure above 60 m/min. Installation also depends on spindle and clamp-plate accuracy, and the operating description calls for cutting fluid to control heat during cutting.

Which option suits the buyer

Choose circular slitting discs when the process is longitudinal separation of sheet, strip, foil, or similar material and the blade must be selected around thickness, hardness, impact load, or edge-finish requirements. A buyer handling thin foil or copper strip may focus on powder metallurgy HSS, while thicker plate work calls for a tougher material choice.

Choose HSS circular saw blades when the equipment is a metal circular saw and the job involves cutting or slotting individual workpieces, pipes, or plates. The decision then centers on outer diameter, thickness, inner-hole fit, tooth pitch, and the choice between HSS-DM05 and HSS-Co.

Before requesting a quotation, send the material grade, workpiece thickness, machine type, blade dimensions or mounting details, target cutting speed, and required quantity. These details allow the supplier to match the blade format and material to the line or saw.
